The 9th book in the Conqueror of the Sun series has now been submitted to Amazon for review. However, it is the 1st book from the W.A.R. Chronicles subseries which basically means it is more action and war focused.
Below is also a scene from the book, showing Orchid Arc having just slaughtered a number of Atlonian Confederation special forces with her katana.
So, today was another really good day in as far as getting a lot of work done and stuff finished that I have been wanting to do for years.
First off, I am getting really close to finishing the next side book, "Conqueror of the Sun - Severed Galaxy". I feel I probably only need to finish up the latest proofread before it is ready, which I only have 50 pages left to check.
I will still have to do the paperback cover version after that, but I'm going to tentatively say that it will be published on the 1st week of Feb.
This time very much related, since she plays such a big role in Severed Galaxy. The below depicts no scene in particular but shows Sabrina Arc (19) in her full supernatural demon priestess outfit which she gets the position after a certain "event" in the story of Conqueror of the Sun.
Although I have the first completed rough draft for the Severed Galaxy story, I was suddenly inspired to write a section (8 full pages) in yet another one of the many side books I have planned for the Conqueror of the Sun series. The book title is Conqueror of the Sun - The Last Mission which is part of the W.A.R. Chronicles category of stories, meaning more action orientated.
The basic premise of the novel is about an assassination attempt made on IRF Emperor Shawn Arc and his order to return the favor by making a mission to kill the FA leader, Villius Johansen. The tale specifically takes place between chapters 79 and 80 in Conqueror of the Sun - 3 - Reign of Terror. Although, fairly, sounding pretty generic for a plot, being of the Conqueror of the Sun series, it definitely will not be "normal" and have its twists.
Again, not necessarily related, but below is a picture from Conqueror of the Sun - 5 - The IIIrd Tear depicting IRF Emperor Shawn Arc and IRF Princess Sabrina Arc returning to their quarters aboard the IRF Imperial Space Navy carrier flagship called the Black Star. Being from Book 5, the time period for this part of the saga is in the 2700s.
Today I finished the 1st rough draft of Conqueror of the Sun - Severed Galaxy. Although the story is "completely done" now, there still will need to be some edits and changes. During the first comprehension read-through check, I'll have to: 1) change a few place names 2) make sure story flow order is correct and no plot holes 3) add a few more age and year references for the reader to more easily keep track of the timeline 4) add some more IRF references.
I don't expect all of these changes to take more than a month, perhaps less time. So again, the publish date is still good for either Jan. or Feb.
And though Severed Galaxy takes place over three generations of Arc, the real 3 main characters of the tale are: Marcus Arc, Abigail Arc, and Orchid Arc. And I happy to finally have their story finished.

This is when Sabrina is a foreign exchange student in Japan and going shopping with her high school classmate friends.
Really, it is supposed to be at a Sanrio store, but panties shop is the closest thing. Sabrina looks a bit embarrassed because she is buying a Hello Kitty mini-massager, which is infamous for being used as a vibrator. Satsuki is asking if Sabrina is really gonna buy it, and Ichigo is asking if she is indeed gonna use it as a vibrator.

I was happy to do more on finishing Conqueror of the Sun - Severed Galaxy today. I wrote up and completed a chapter that was unpleasant but needed in the story. It is good to have it out of the way. I also think there are no completely bare chapters now, just adding to existing ones and finishing them up.
It is hard to say when the first rough draft will be done, but it seems very close now, perhaps only a few days worth of work, maybe a week. After that is the comprehension read through and the editing runs. Depending on how it goes, there is a small chance to finish before Jan., but Feb. release is more likely.
Not exactly connected but below is a depiction from "Conqueror of the Sun - Prelude to Destiny - 2nd Light" showing Sabrina Arc (16) in Japan and using a temizuya to purify her hands before going before the Shinto temple proper and praying.
Once I finish and publish "Conqueror of the Sun - Severed Galaxy", the most likely following novel to be completed will probably be "Conqueror of the Sun - The Dead Doll Princess".
There are a number of reasons this is the next book: 1) It is the closest to being done novel out of all the other partially completed side book stories (being at 80 pages). 2) The tale takes place almost immediately after "Severed Galaxy".
The following text will have spoilers:
"The Dead Doll Princess" is mostly focused on Persephone Arc's kids and only takes course over about a year. So, there is a jump in the timeline from Persephone being only 1 year old still or even as mentioned in the epilogue of "Severed Galaxy" at 12 years old when she is married and becomes the Empress of the IRF Empire. Instead, the story starts in the Year 2523 at which point Persephone is 32 and her eldest child is 19 years old. Thus, besides this leap, The Dead Doll Princess essentially takes place right after Severed Galaxy. It certainly is a direct continuation of Severed Galaxy, and I kind of consider them as a mini-saga within the Conqueror of the Sun series.
Below is a depiction of a scene from Conqueror of the Sun - The Dead Doll Princess. The single image itself has a lot about the story, but I will try to summarize as brief as possible.
Closest in the foreground is Jerrold Arc (18) who is trying to protect his little sister, Hazel Arc (12). The twist of it is that she is already dead and has been for a while. Jerrold was able to preserve Hazel in her youthful state from the time of her death. This is accomplished because Jerrold made an unholy pact with Hell. Through some rituals and spells Hazel Arc is not only perfectly preserved but becomes a powerful weapon to use against the Atlonian Confederation.
At first, Hazel is only discovered powers is her ability to communicate AC intel and secrets to the IRF. The next level found is much like the tale in the Bible. Hazel Arc's body is carried into combat via an ark and assures victory for the IRF side. Only instead of the 10 commandants in an ark, in this case, it is a dead little girl.
Hazel Arc's ark is shown in the background of the image and is used to transport her body. This is in contrast to the technological coffin she currently is in for the picture. Since it is embedded into the superstructure of the starship they are on, the traditional ark must still be used to move her.
Being a completely new type of ship, the IRF-ISN Charon uses Hazel Arc's unnatural and extreme powers to make a novel weapon that is able to destroy any vessel that comes within a certain range.

Conqueror of the Sun - Severed Galaxy takes place between book 4 and 5, but in the 2400s with humanity already colonizing the Milky Way Galaxy. Significant events in the story: the destruction of the Earth by the IRF, the reveal that the Arc bloodline is still alive, and a new female protag: Orchid Arc.
The depiction below shows Orchid Arc at age 12 in an Apricus Sol temple. Although an IRF Princess, Orchid does not wear the usual white princess dress but instead has a unique one made that allows her still be able to do close-quarter fighting, which she does a lot of throughout her life.

Although the Alternate Light chronicles cover color looks good online, the real paperback version, in person, I am not perfectly happy with. So, I tried to make a new cover and submitted it to Amazon today. After a few days, I will order a new physical copy and make comparisons.
In the image below, it looks like the Prologue Chronicles, but it should turn out a lighter color of orange. At least that is the hope...
In other news, being now officially into the year 2021, today on Jan. 3rd, I started to do the finishing up work on Conqueror of the Sun - Severed Galaxy. The release date for this remains at sometime in Jan. or Feb. And even though I set a goal for myself of doing one book a year and since Severed Galaxy is so close to being finished, I feel I may be able to do 2 books this year.
If this is to occur, most likely it would be Conqueror of the Sun - The Dead Doll Princess. Since in the timeline, The Dead Doll Princess comes right after Severed Galaxy and make up a kind of mini-saga within the Conqueror of the Sun series.
